Sustainability

Earthfest will be a trailblazer in the world of sustainable events, continuously striving to minimize our impact on the planet. Hosted at King’s Cross, a venue already committed to carbon neutrality and sustainability, our commitment extends beyond this foundation. We aim to set new, global standards for sustainable event practices.

manifesto

Earthfest will be a trailblazer in the world of sustainable events, continuously striving to minimize our impact on the planet. We aim to set new, global standards for sustainable event practices.

Realising this will be a long, and sometimes difficult journey, through intentional efforts, we pledge to minimize our environmental footprint, as much as possible, and ensure that every aspect of Earthfest aligns with our mission to protect and preserve our planet.

Energy

Our venue runs on 100% clean energy, and we will ensure any additional power generated for this event comes from clean sources, with no fuel-powered generators allowed on-site.

Waste

We strive for a low-waste event, through a ban on single use plastics, a comprehensive recycling programme, and other waste reduction strategies.

Transport

We minimise transport emissions by implementing consolidation hubs and low-carbon transportation for suppliers, and providing sustainable travel options for attendees.

Partnerships

We choose to work with partners who’s values align with ours, and avoid greenwashing. We partner with non-profit initiative, London Clean Air, to invest 100% of our proceeds back into the local community.

Education

Education is at the core of the festival. We organise a free day of experiential learning for local schools, centre educational value in our programming, and collaborate with our suppliers to innovate and operate more sustainably.
